Milan, May 8, 2025 – A full day dedicated to innovation, strategy, and the transformative power of data. CDP Day 2025, organized by BitBang as the managing partner of the CDP Institute Italy, brought together marketing, technology, and customer experience professionals in Milan to explore the present and future of Customer Data Platforms.

This year’s theme, “Leverage Customer Data. Elevate Business”, highlighted the increasingly central role of CDPs in an ecosystem shaped by artificial intelligence, personalization, and composable architectures. The event offered a well-balanced mix of inspiration and practical insights, featuring high-profile keynotes, real-world use cases, and valuable networking opportunities.

Key Highlights

The day opened with Giovanni Lorenzoni, representing the CDPI Italy Chapter, who emphasized the growing complexity and maturity of the CDP landscape. David Raab, founder of the CDP Institute, followed via video with an overview of the current state of the industry, discussing recent acquisitions and the architectural evolution of platforms designed to meet increasingly diverse business needs.

Frans Riemersma (Martech Tribe) reminded attendees that technology is merely an enabler—the true focus must remain on use cases and the value delivered to businesses and customers. Echoing this perspective, Andrea Bedeschi (BitBang) reflected on the future of CDPs in a landscape increasingly shaped by AI and a rapidly evolving tech stack.

Among the most appreciated business cases, Facile.it shared how it scaled personalization using Hightouch, while Alpitour World presented its journey toward a more relevant customer experience with Tealium. Dynamic discussions enriched the agenda, including a talk show with PhotoSì and TWINSET, a fireside chat with Electrolux and DynamicYield by Mastercard, and a roundtable featuring three different CDP vendors.

Scalapay with its experience with Amplitude as a unifying driver broadened the conversation towards the financial sector, further explored by Marco Rotoloni (ABI Lab) focusing on Data Governance for banking. The day concluded with an inspiring keynote by Alberto Mattiello (Retail Hub), who explored the new opportunities AI is unlocking for individuals and organizations alike.

A Rapidly Evolving Ecosystem

“Customer Data Platforms are no longer just a technological tool — they are a strategic lever to drive digital transformation and truly place the customer at the center”, stated Lorenzoni.

CDP Day 2025 confirmed that Italian companies are maturing in their ability to orchestrate data, content, and channels to deliver increasingly personalized and relevant experiences.
