On October 29, 2025, at the heart of Italian technological innovation, the Tecnopolo di Bologna, the seminar “Revolutionizing Retail: The Power of Generative AI in Retail Media” will take place. The event is being organized by BitBang, in collaboration with SIM — Italian Marketing Association, the Department of Management — DISA — University of Bologna, and with the support of EuroCC Italy and IAB Italia.

In a context where Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen-AI) is emerging as a driving force in the transformation of Retail Media, the seminar offers a strategic opportunity to explore how new technologies are enabling hyper-personalized advertising, dynamically generated content, and new consumer engagement models, while simultaneously improving the effectiveness of advertising investments.

Agenda

The day will begin at 10:00 AM with an opening talk by EuroCC Italy, highlighting the importance of this historical moment for Italian businesses and the opportunities offered by the internationally renowned IT4LIA AI Factory project — a strategic platform for the development and large-scale adoption of Artificial Intelligence solutions.

This will be followed by a formal welcome from Professor Gabriele Pizzi, professor at the University of Bologna and representative of SIM, who will present the scientific and organizational vision of the event.

The morning will continue with a series of talks by experts from both academia and industry, offering an in-depth analysis of the impact of Gen-AI on Retail Media.

After the lunch break, the event will move into its core session: an afternoon roundtable discussion featuring companies invited by IAB Italia and BitBang. This session will foster a stimulating, multidisciplinary dialogue on the opportunities and challenges surrounding the adoption of Generative AI. The roundtable will be moderated by Professor Gabriele Pizzi and Andrea De Marco.

Finally, at 4:00 PM, participants will have the exclusive opportunity to experience a virtual visit to the Leonardo supercomputer – one of the most powerful computing infrastructures in the world, hosted at the Tecnopolo. The visit will be presented through a projected video and will serve as both a symbolic and tangible moment to understand the role of high-performance computing in the digital transformation of the retail sector.
